The Friends of the Anna Community Library are passionate advocates, volunteers, and fundraisers who play a vital role in enriching the library experience for everyone in our community

Volunteers

program support

We help develop and implement programs that meet the diverse needs of library users, such as:

• Literacy initiatives

• Cultural events that foster community engagement

Public Demonstration

Advocacy

We raise awareness about the importance of libraries at the local, state, and national levels. Our advocacy promotes:

• Literacy and lifelong learning

• The essential role libraries play in vibrant communities

Volunteering Group

Volunteerism

Our members generously donate their time and talents to support library operations, including:

• Shelving books

• Organizing events

• Conducting outreach programs

Collecting Donations

Fundraising

We organize at least one used book sale every spring, along with several active and passive fundraisers throughout the year. These efforts generate essential revenue to support:

• Art and makerspace room supplies

• The Summer Reading Program

• Other enriching library initiatives

Business meeting

 Building Community Partnerships

We connect the library with local businesses, schools, and organizations to:

• Expand the reach of library services

• Foster collaboration and shared resources​​​

Building Under Construction

Preservation & Expansion

We advocate for the preservation of historical archives and special collections, and work with the Anna Community Library Foundation to:

• Support facility expansion and renovation

• Ensure the library evolves with the needs of our growing community​​.​
